Lead Bends are produced on a bend/trap press that allows bending of the lead pipe while extruding the lead. Lead Stub is the name given for short pieces of lead pipe. Stubs and bends are available in 3″ or 4″ diameters of lead pipe for your application.
“Solder Wiping” is a process used to solder the brass to the lead. In the picture to the left, taken at Mayco’s Birmingham, Alabama facility, you can see the molten lead solder being poured directly on the lead bend to achieve the binding of the lead pipe to the brass stub.
